In this page you will find all our friends that the Lord has called. We pray for them that their souls may rest in eternal peace

Father John Scalabrini of Biina Parish passed away this Tuesday morning at St Francis Hospital, Nsambya in Kampala, where he was admitted last week on Thursday.

He had been battling with cancer of the bones for about four to five years and had just returned from Italy two months ago where he normally went for treatment.

A great musician who put his talents at the service of his Africa.  The world of music, and not only, weeps for the premature departure of Papa Wemba, African musical icon, defined as the “King of Congolese Rumba.”  The artist died last Sunday at 66 years of age, right while he was taking part in a cultural event in Ivory Coast.  Committed Christian, Papa Wemba transformed into music the message that Benedict XVI wanted to offer to Africa in the continental Synod.

Here is the interview with Fr. Federico Lombardi conducted by Fr. Jean Pierre Bodjoko:

Oh dear our lovely Fr Joseph Archetti, you inspired so many people with you live here on earth, you had the attributes of love , kindness, generosity, and most of all the Faith, we will surely miss you but never will you be forgotten.

FATHER Joseph Archetti, has left a great impact to the Our Lady of Africa Church Mbuya community, and most especially Reach Out Mbuya Parish HIV/AIDS Initiative,

His journey in Uganda started a month after independence in 1962,
“We don’t choose where we go. When I finished school in 1962, my superiors sent me to Uganda,” he said.Fr. Joseph

Aged 28, Archette then headed to Uganda for an evangelism mission under the Comboni Missionaries. As a priest, his duty was to look after the faithful, where he settled.

When you go to a place, you look around and assess the needs of the people in the area. And this is what Fr. Archetti did; Father has left an indelible mark on the people of Mbuya, in the suburbs of Kampala.

Late Mario

The death of Father Mario Imperial our beloved Father, brother and friend is a shock to us parishioners of Our Lady of Africa Mbuya  who have journeyed with him during his times as a priest and parish priest at Mbuya parish.

Fare thee well,

A Father of Love and a blessing to the Mbuya parish community and our school St Kizito

You celebrated our Evening Mass, I will never forget you

Hello Friends

Like the Lord says; we do not know the hour - so be ready at all times: we did not know that this tragedy was to happen at this particular time.

We have lost one of our mccj priests from Uganda, Fr Adaku Isaac Augustine.

Fr Adaku had gone to Rome for his sabbatical year (in our circles it is called COMBONI YEAR of ONGOING FORMATION), in August this year 2013 and this course was to go till Augustine
